Guided All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) are the perfect way to get out into the high-alpine Colorado back country with out all the work of hiking. Climb aboard for a fun-filled adventure that will take you through alpine meadows, and cool rushing streams. Enjoy the majestic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. One person and two person ATVs are available. Trips include a knowledgeable guide, transportation, helmet and rain gear. Usually children 16 and over can ride their own machines while those under 16 can ride with an adult.
ATVs are made to ride anywhere including mountains, flatlands, sand dunes and rocky, muddy roads. But most riders find ATVs most useful in mountainous terrain because almost no other vehicle can ride through such terrain with the same dexterity. The rider sits on and operates these vehicles like a motorcycle, but the extra wheels give more stability at slow speeds, allowing more advanced operators to truly explore the landscape. Though no prior ATV experience is typically required, riders should feel comfortable navigating a powerful, motorcycle-like vehicle prior to hitting the trail on an ATV.
